What a magnificent display we are treated to this time of year as the trees assume their fall cloak. To explain this phenomenon I could go into a long dissertation on the chemical changes to show what causes this change of color. It is much easier to just say the leaves change color due to the absents of chlorophyll. While the more curious among us might delve into the subject I would think a majority of us would just go outside on this beautiful day and enjoy what nature has provided us with. I gathered a few of the better looking leaves of some of the Japanese Maples here at the farm to capture their beauty and dream of the day when a collection of these trees will grace the gardens at Close Park.
