About the FOG Blog

Let’s be clear: FOG Blog isn’t about me, nor will it always be written me. You are invited to join in the writing; I promise to edit you lightly, quote you accurately, and often. All I ask is pithiness, clarity, whimsy and good humor. I may meet you at the dictionary, but that is how we learn.

There are so many other gifted writers – such as Peter Longley, Lee Coates, Frank Shipe, Hiltrud “Sam” Webber and Kenny Knauer – who have so much more knowledge that I hardly dare try this at all. But we all have something to say, and this is a great way to get to know one another better. So please share your thoughts – including constructive comments and incredible photos, web sites and articles that we can pass along.

A warning: We may have to forgive the occasional typographical error, since I learned many years ago that a few of you like to find them and point them out.

The views expressed in The FOG Blog are entirely unofficial. We have moved all but about 60 blog posts to this new website. These are from September and early October of 2010. You can access them at the News-Leader blog, “The Garden Word” if you need to. The rest of the archives made the move intact and you can access them easily using the “Search” function. If you would like to post to your blog please send your posting to news@friendsofthegarden.org enter Blog Posting on the subject line.
