This stained glass butterfly is a true work of art! Robin Coulter Crabb is the talented artist who produced the beautiful stained glass window in the atrium of the Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center, 2400 S. Scenic. If you haven’t seen the window yet, it alone is worth the trip! The atrium is open 8 am to 8 pm except Sunday open 11 am to 6 pm. 891.1515. I have just completed this stained glass piece to be donated to the Friends of the Garden. The FOG Butterfly festival is July 21st. The silent auction is located inside the botanical center, and will take place 10-12. come out and bid. I am excited to see for myself what other art and items have been donated! FRIENDS OF THE GARDEN BUTTERFLY FESTIVAL
Saturday, July 21, free and open to the public- 9:00 am- 6:00 pm. Beginning with a silent auction from 10 am- noon- find lots of great items with all proceeds benefiting the new Butterfly Nursery Garden! Festival includes vendors, photo, quilt and costume contests, face painting, balloons, story time, classes, passport/map activity, recognition for FOG members and of course lots of butterflies in and around the Butterfly House. Butterfly release at 10:30 am near the Butterfly House. In the evening great music in the park. Bring a chair or a blanket and enjoy music up on the roof!
