How to Grow Blueberries Class ~ A Public Event, June 21
By Master Gardeners of Greene County, Springfield, MO.
What could be more delicious than picking fresh blueberries on your own land in July? With a little bit of planning and know-how – and patience! – you can have your own supply of blueberries right on your homestead. Growing blueberries is easy and fun.
Blueberries are easy to grow, but many people forget to do any soil preparation beforehand and this is where the trouble begins and sadly ends for the blueberry plant. This class will teach you the proper soil requirements specific for blueberries, when and how to plant, what to fertilize with, pollination requirements, and how to prune. Harvest and storage is the fun part.
