Who are the “Hippo Helpers”?
By Mark Hay
M’liss and I got to go and meet the little girl and mom to look at bikes. She picked out the one she liked with a helmet and a chain lock. We paid for it with funds provided by a group we call the “Hippo Helpers”.
The Hippo Helpers are a group of ladies that collect money from their paychecks then use those funds to do nice things for kids who need a hand up. This little girl was so surprised that people who don’t even know her, would step up and do something nice for her. Thanks Hippo Helpers for teaching that lesson. Now start saving up for the next one! You made a little girls day, as well as her Mom who hugged our necks and shed a few tears of joy.
Life has it’s really cool moments! Mark
