FREE MUSIC AT WILSON’S CREEK NATIONAL BATTLEFIELD MAY 12, 2012
“Arts in the Park” at Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield will feature the group called Bob Hammons & Wildwood this Saturday evening, May 12, at 7:00 p.m. This gospel group was voted 2012 Midwest Gospel Group of the Year by the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America. They play 50-80 engagements a year, including festivals, fairs, and churches.

Administered by the National Park Service, Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield preserves the site of the first major battle of the Civil War in the West, site where the first Union general was killed in the Civil War and evokes the rural character experienced by the combatants. Wilson’s Creek is located 10 miles southwest of Springfield, Missouri, at the intersection of Highway ZZ and Farm Road 182.
